# GloriaFood Is Shutting Down: The Safe Deadline, What to Save and How to Switch

> Oracle says GloriaFood's service ends on March 31, 2027, and GloriaFood says April 30, so plan for March 31 and be live on a new system by March 21. Here's what to save, what replaces each workflow, what it costs and a week-by-week plan.

GloriaFood is shutting down. [Oracle's food-and-beverage page](https://www.oracle.com/food-beverage/) says GloriaFood's "full end of service" is scheduled for March 31, 2027, and that Oracle no longer accepts sign-ups. [GloriaFood's own homepage](https://www.gloriafood.com/) gives April 30, 2027 as its end-of-life date.

Plan for the earlier date, and aim to be fully switched by Sunday, March 21, before the Easter weekend. This guide covers what stops working, what to save, what replaces each piece, what it costs and a dated switch plan.

*MenuBeacon makes QR menu, ordering and kitchen software. We don't sell POS systems or card processing. Competitor prices below come from each vendor's own page, checked on October 12, 2026.*

**GloriaFood shutdown: key facts.** Checked October 12, 2026.

| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Oracle's date | Full end of service on Wednesday, March 31, 2027 ([Oracle](https://www.oracle.com/food-beverage/)) |
| GloriaFood's date | End of life on Friday, April 30, 2027, with existing customers supported through that date ([GloriaFood](https://www.gloriafood.com/)) |
| New sign-ups | Oracle says it no longer accepts them |
| A replacement from Oracle | No direct replacement, according to GloriaFood's notice. It points to FoodAmigos, another ordering platform, for onboarding help |
| Your data after the end date | Neither page says |
| Our advice | Be live on your new system by Sunday, March 21, 2027 |

## GloriaFood end-of-life date: March 31 or April 30, 2027

Oracle has owned GloriaFood since June 25, 2021 ([Oracle](https://www.oracle.com/corporate/acquisitions/gloriafood/)), so two official pages speak for it, and they give two dates. [Oracle's food-and-beverage page](https://www.oracle.com/food-beverage/) schedules full end of service for March 31, 2027 and says Oracle will support existing customers through the transition. [GloriaFood's homepage notice](https://www.gloriafood.com/) gives April 30, 2027 and says existing customers are supported through that date.

Oracle's page links to GloriaFood's notice for details, yet neither explains the gap, and neither shows a date.

**Why March 31 is your deadline.** It is the earlier of the two official dates. A plan built on March 31 works whichever date holds. A plan built on April 30 works only if Oracle's date turns out to be wrong.

**Why March 21 is the target.** Easter falls just before the deadline. Good Friday (March 26) and Easter Monday (March 29) are bank holidays in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and Good Friday is one in Scotland ([GOV.UK](https://www.gov.uk/bank-holidays)). Easter Monday is also a public holiday in Ireland ([Citizens Information](https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employment/employment-rights-and-conditions/leave-and-holidays/public-holidays/)).

Changing systems over a holiday weekend, when your staff, web designer or a vendor's support desk may be off, is a risk you don't need. Being live by March 21 leaves a week of buffer. Wherever you are, that week lets you fix a missed link or QR code while GloriaFood is still running.

## What stops working when GloriaFood shuts down

List every place GloriaFood shows up in your business before you choose a replacement, because each one needs its own fix.

*The middle column is our inference: when a service ends, the links and apps that point to it stop working. GloriaFood's homepage, pricing page and FAQ page give no list of what stops, or when. Features and prices come from [GloriaFood's pricing page](https://www.gloriafood.com/pricing) and homepage; prices exclude taxes.*

| Where GloriaFood shows up | What stops | What to do now |
|---|---|---|
| The "See MENU & Order" button on your website | Online orders from your site | List every page with the button, and confirm who can edit your website |
| A website GloriaFood generated for you, or its paid sales-optimized website | Possibly your whole website, not only the ordering button | Find out who hosts your site and domain, and line up a new site before you switch |
| Facebook ordering links and the Start Order button | Orders from your Facebook page | Note every post and button that links to your GloriaFood menu |
| Table QR codes for dine-in ordering | Ordering from the table | Count your tables and code formats (stickers, tents) so you reprint once |
| The order-taking app on your phone or tablet, and any printer it drives | Accepting and printing orders | Note each printer's make, model and connection, and confirm your new vendor supports it |
| Table Reservations widget and Order Ahead for Reservations | Online bookings | Copy every booking dated after your switch |
| Hotel ordering, with orders charged to the guest's room | Room-service orders and room charges | Decide how room-service orders will reach the guest's bill after the switch |
| Online / Credit Card Payment Service (US$29 a month) | Online payments through GloriaFood | GloriaFood says payments go straight to your own gateway account, so check that contract separately |
| Promotions and coupons, Advanced Promo Marketing (US$19 a month) and automated email campaigns | Promo codes and campaigns | List active codes, their terms and where they're printed |
| GloriaFood POS (US$49 a month per location, 2-year commitment), or any POS, loyalty or delivery-tracking tool connected to GloriaFood | The POS, and any order feed into connected tools | Ask Oracle in writing what happens to the rest of a POS commitment |
| FoodBooking app listing and any branded app | Your listing and app | Decide how regulars will find your new ordering link |
| End of Day Report email (free) | The daily email | Save past reports now (next section) |

**Places that are easy to miss.** GloriaFood's homepage tells restaurants to paste their ordering link into their Google Business Profile, Yelp and Tripadvisor profiles, and Instagram and TikTok bios ([GloriaFood](https://www.gloriafood.com/)). Its flyer generator promotes online ordering on printed flyers ([GloriaFood pricing](https://www.gloriafood.com/pricing)).

## What to save from GloriaFood now

Save everything you'll need to rebuild, and everything your books need, while you still have full access.

- **Menu:** every category, item, price, choice and add-on, plus photos. If there's no export, screenshot or print each section.
- **Customers:** your customer list, if your admin lets you download it. Before you import emails anywhere, check what customers agreed to when they ordered.
- **Sales records:** order history and the reports your accountant needs. Keep every End of Day email, GloriaFood's daily breakdown of sales, tips and order types, in one folder ([GloriaFood pricing](https://www.gloriafood.com/pricing)).
- **Promotions:** active codes, their terms and end dates.
- **Delivery setup:** zones, fees, minimums and service hours. Screenshot the zone map.
- **Opening hours** and planned holiday closures.
- **Reservations:** every booking dated after your switch, with contact details.
- **Payment add-on:** your gateway's name, your login to it and the add-on's cancellation terms.
- **A written answer from GloriaFood** on exporting orders and customers, and on what happens to your data after the end date. Get it while GloriaFood still supports you, and keep the reply with your records.

[GloriaFood's FAQ page](https://www.gloriafood.com/frequently-asked-questions) doesn't mention exporting. Search its [knowledge base](https://info.gloriafood.com/) and the reports in your admin for an export, try it now, and open the files to make sure they're complete.

Your sales records have to outlast GloriaFood:

- **US:** the IRS says to keep records for 3 years in the simplest case ([IRS](https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/how-long-should-i-keep-records)). Employment tax records, which include the tips your employees report to you, need at least 4 years ([IRS](https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/employment-tax-recordkeeping)).
- **UK limited company:** 6 years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to ([GOV.UK](https://www.gov.uk/running-a-limited-company/company-and-accounting-records)).
- **UK sole trader:** at least 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year ([GOV.UK](https://www.gov.uk/self-employed-records/how-long-to-keep-your-records)).
- **UK, VAT-registered (company or sole trader):** HMRC says to keep VAT records for at least 6 years in general ([HMRC](https://www.gov.uk/guidance/record-keeping-for-vat-notice-70021)).

Longer periods apply in some cases, and this list covers only US and UK rules, so ask your accountant what applies to you. This is general information, not legal or tax advice.

**If an agency or reseller set up GloriaFood for you,** get owner-level admin access now and ask in writing what its plan is.

GloriaFood's notice points to FoodAmigos, whose [GloriaFood page](https://gloriafood.foodamigos.io/) is written mainly for resellers and agencies and tells them they can keep charging their restaurants a subscription fee or a commission on orders. If your agency proposes a move, ask what you'd pay per month and per order, and who will own your account and customer data.

## GloriaFood alternatives, workflow by workflow

No single GloriaFood alternative fits every restaurant, because GloriaFood bundled free online ordering, dine-in QR ordering and reservations. Match each replacement to what you actually use GloriaFood for:

- **Dine-in QR ordering:** a free plan can cover it, such as MenuBeacon Free.
- **Pickup and delivery with no monthly fee:** Square's Free plan (US and UK) or DoorDash Online Ordering (US, for restaurants already on DoorDash). MenuBeacon's pickup and delivery ordering is on Pro (US, UK and EU editions).
- **GloriaFood POS:** you need a POS vendor.
- **Everything else:** work through the table below, row by row.

| GloriaFood today | MenuBeacon option | Other routes |
|---|---|---|
| Dine-in QR ordering | [Free table ordering](/table-ordering) in every edition: waiter call and bill request, 20 table QR codes, 5,000 menu scans a month. Guests pay cash or at the counter | Any QR ordering tool; see [free restaurant menu software compared](/blog/free-restaurant-menu-software-2026-top-options) |
| Order-taking app | Live kitchen dashboard (all plans) in a browser on a tablet or computer you own, with a new-order sound. Printed tickets: Pro (US, UK, EU), on an ESC/POS printer you provide | A kitchen display or POS |
| Pickup and delivery from your website and Facebook | [Pickup and delivery ordering on Pro](/restaurant-online-ordering) (US, UK, EU): guests order from your menu link, ASAP or scheduled, within your hours, lead times, capacity, delivery radius, minimum and fees. You can pause orders | Square's Free plan (US and UK) or DoorDash Online Ordering (US); details below |
| "See MENU & Order" button | No ordering widget. The website widget (Pro; US, UK, EU) is display-only, so point a button on your site at your menu link instead. Ordering pickup or delivery from that link needs Pro (US, UK, EU) | A vendor whose widget takes orders |
| A website GloriaFood generated | None: there's no website builder. Build a new site elsewhere, then add a button that links to your menu | A website builder; Square's Free plan includes one (US and UK) |
| Reservations widget | Pro (US, UK, EU): guests request a table and your team confirms it, with an optional Stripe deposit. Not instant booking; ordering ahead with a booking isn't documented | A booking tool, if instant booking or pre-orders matter |
| Online payments add-on ($29) | Pro (US, UK, EU): card at the table through your own Stripe account, at standard Stripe fees. Paying online for pickup and delivery: not documented | An ordering tool that takes payment at checkout, such as Square's Free plan (below) |
| Advanced promotions ($19) | Pro (US, UK, EU): promo codes, gift cards and digital stamp cards. Segmented campaigns like GloriaFood's aren't documented | A dedicated marketing tool |
| GloriaFood POS ($49) | Not offered. MenuBeacon is not a full POS replacement and has no full two-way POS sync. Its only listed POS connection is a one-way Square catalog import (Pro, US/UK/EU). On Pro, signed webhooks can send order events to a system your developer connects | Any POS vendor |
| FoodBooking app listing | None: it isn't a marketplace | Delivery marketplaces |
| End of Day email | Reports cover orders, revenue, best sellers, ratings and tables where those features are used, with CSV export; which of these are on Free isn't documented. Pro (US, UK, EU) adds a weekly digest email every Monday. A daily emailed report isn't documented | Your POS's own reports |

**Before you rely on pickup and delivery.** Delivery needs setup first, including Google Maps credentials, and your own drivers: no couriers, dispatch or driver tracking are included. MenuBeacon documents card payment at the table; whether pickup and delivery orders can be paid online when they're placed isn't documented, so ask the team if that matters to you.

**Other routes for pickup and delivery.** Both have no monthly fee; check what each offers in your country.

- **Square (US and UK).** Both Free plans include a website builder.
  - [Square's US plans](https://squareup.com/us/en/online-store/plans): the $0 Free plan lists pickup, local delivery and shipping, with online card payments at 3.3% + 30¢. QR code ordering starts on Plus, at $49 a month per location.
  - [Square's UK plans](https://squareup.com/gb/en/online-store/plans): the £0 Free plan lists click and collect and delivery by your own staff, at 1.4% + 25p per UK card. QR code ordering starts on Plus, at £20 a month billed annually.
- **DoorDash Online Ordering (US).** [DoorDash's page](https://merchants.doordash.com/en-us/products/online-ordering) says it's for restaurants with an active DoorDash store and has no monthly or commission fees: you pay only payment processing, customers pay delivery fees, and Dashers deliver. Your DoorDash Marketplace orders still carry DoorDash's commission; the zero applies to direct orders.

### Where MenuBeacon is not a like-for-like replacement

- **Free online ordering.** If you rely on GloriaFood's free, unlimited online ordering, MenuBeacon Free won't replace it. Pickup and delivery are on Pro (US, UK and EU editions), at $20 a month billed in US dollars, month to month.
- **Free plan limits.** Free has 3 menus, 20 table QR codes, 5,000 menu scans a month and no staff accounts, and menus show a small "Powered by MenuBeacon" line. Over a limit, you're asked to upgrade; live menus aren't interrupted without warning.
- **No website builder, ordering widget, full POS, marketplace listing, hotel PMS integration or room-charge posting.** You link to your menu from a website you already have.
- **No GloriaFood import** and no automatic migration. You rebuild the menu and print new QR codes.
- **Your own exit.** A self-serve export of your menu isn't documented, so ask the team if that matters to you. If you cancel Pro (US, UK and EU editions), you drop back to Free and your data is kept.
- **Several locations.** Free covers one restaurant. Grouping restaurants under one owner account is Pro (US, UK, EU). Whether Pro is billed per restaurant or per account isn't published, so ask before you move several sites. Each location's menu is managed separately; there's no central menu publishing.

**Whatever you choose, ask every vendor for:**

- its published prices;
- any per-order commission;
- a dated feature list;
- how to export your data, in writing;
- how long it keeps your data if you leave, in writing.

### If your restaurant is in the EU, Pakistan or another country

MenuBeacon has editions for the US, the UK, EU member states and Pakistan. If your restaurant is elsewhere, contact the team before signing up; see [which countries MenuBeacon serves](/markets).

- **EU:** you choose your member state at sign-up, which sets your currency, locale and time zone. Check [the EU edition page](/eu) for sign-up availability in your country before you start. In Germany, MenuBeacon is not a cash register and has no TSE, so use it alongside your TSE-secured Kassensystem.
- **Pakistan:** the Pakistan edition has no online pickup or delivery ordering. Dine-in QR ordering works on Pakistan Free (Rs 0), with guests paying cash or at the counter. Kitchen tickets print on 80 mm thermal printers on the Free plan.

## GloriaFood replacement cost, before and after

GloriaFood's core ordering is free, so the real question is what you'll pay for each workflow you replace. This table uses published prices only ([GloriaFood pricing](https://www.gloriafood.com/pricing)), and GloriaFood's prices exclude taxes. MenuBeacon figures are for the US, UK and EU editions, where Pro is billed in US dollars while your menu and bills use your local currency.

| Line | GloriaFood, until shutdown | MenuBeacon |
|---|---|---|
| Core ordering | $0, unlimited orders and locations | Dine-in: $0 on Free for one restaurant. Pickup and delivery: Pro, $20 a month (per restaurant or per account isn't published) |
| Card payments | $29 a month add-on, plus your gateway's fees | At the table: in Pro, at standard Stripe fees |
| Advanced promotions | $19 a month | Promo codes in Pro. Segmented promo campaigns: not documented |
| Reservations | Widget free; deposits $0.50 per guest, accepted bookings only | Pro (the same $20 a month); deposits at standard Stripe fees, no per-guest charge |
| POS | $49 a month per location, 2-year commitment | Not offered |

*The three examples below are illustrative arithmetic on list prices checked October 12, 2026, not customer data.*

**Example 1: three common setups.**

| Your GloriaFood setup | GloriaFood today | On MenuBeacon |
|---|---|---|
| Dine-in QR ordering, no add-ons | $0 a month | $0 on Free for one restaurant (3 menus, 20 table codes, 5,000 menu scans a month, no staff accounts). Above a Free limit or for staff logins: Pro, $20 a month, or $240 over 12 months (unlimited menus, 200 codes, 50,000 scans a month) |
| Pickup and delivery, no paid add-ons | $0 a month | Pro: $20 × 12 = $240 over 12 months |
| Pickup and delivery with the payments and advanced promotions add-ons | $29 + $19 = $48 a month, or $576 over 12 months, plus gateway fees | Pro: $20 × 12 = $240 over 12 months, plus Stripe fees on card payments at the table. Paying online when ordering pickup or delivery isn't documented, and neither are segmented promo campaigns, so ask the team before you count on either |

**Example 2: reservation deposits.** GloriaFood charges $0.50 per guest on accepted bookings with a deposit. Its pricing page doesn't say whether deposits also need its $29 payments add-on, so check your invoice.

If those bookings cover 200 guests a month, that's 200 × $0.50 = $100 a month, before any payment-processing fees. On MenuBeacon, deposits come with Pro at $20 a month, plus standard Stripe fees and no per-guest charge. Below 40 guests a month ($20 ÷ $0.50), your GloriaFood deposit fees are lower than the Pro subscription.

**Example 3: card fees at the table (Pro).** [Stripe's US rate](https://stripe.com/pricing) is 2.9% + 30¢ per successful domestic card transaction, and international cards add 1.5%. On a $60 check: 2.9% × $60 = $1.74, plus 30¢ = $2.04. [In the UK](https://stripe.com/gb/pricing), a standard UK card costs 1.5% + 20p, so a £40 bill costs 60p + 20p = 80p. No MenuBeacon commission is added on top.

## GloriaFood migration plan: the latest safe start is Monday, February 8, 2027

Start earlier if you can, and know what an early start costs. Moving dine-in ordering to a free plan adds no subscription cost. A paid replacement for pickup and delivery bills you while GloriaFood is still free: on MenuBeacon Pro (US, UK and EU editions), starting in mid-November rather than mid-February adds 3 months, or $60 (3 × $20; illustrative arithmetic on the list price).

Two setups shouldn't wait for February. If you use GloriaFood POS, or GloriaFood generated your website, start replacing that piece now. Each needs another vendor, and the plan below sets no week aside for either.

The weeks below are the latest dates that still leave a week of buffer before Oracle's March 31 deadline. Each runs Monday to Sunday.

### Week 1, February 8–14: map, save and choose

- List every place GloriaFood appears (the table above), and save your data.
- Choose your replacement.
- If an agency set GloriaFood up, get owner-level access.

**Watch for:** Valentine's Day and Super Bowl LXI both fall on Sunday, February 14 ([NFL Football Operations](https://operations.nfl.com/calendar-events/nfl-important-dates/)). If either is a big night for you, finish the admin early in the week.

### Week 2, February 15–21: build the menu

- On MenuBeacon Free, type it into the editor.
- On Pro, use [AI import to turn your menu PDF or photo into a draft](/ai-menu-import) you review (the AI can misread, and you add modifiers afterwards), or CSV import.
- Check every price, modifier and allergen. Allergen information is yours to get right, whatever the tool.

### Week 3, February 22–28: set up and test

- Create table QR codes, place one test order from a table, then print the cards.
- Open the kitchen dashboard on a tablet you own.
- On Pro (US, UK, EU), set up staff PIN accounts, connect and verify your own Stripe account, and enter delivery settings.
- Once your new menu link passes its first test, change the menu link on your Google Business Profile. Change any order link there only after a test pickup or delivery order has gone through too.

**Watch for:** Google says a profile edit is usually reviewed within 10 minutes but can take up to 30 days ([Google Business Profile Help](https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038311)).

### Week 4, March 1–7: run both systems

- Move dine-in tables first.
- Keep GloriaFood taking online orders until every link has moved.
- While both run, the kitchen watches two screens, and every price or menu change goes into both systems.

**Watch for:** Mothering Sunday is March 7 in the UK ([Office Holidays](https://www.officeholidays.com/holidays/united-kingdom/mothering-sunday)).

### Week 5, March 8–14: switch every remaining link

- Switch your website button, Facebook (including the Start Order button), Instagram and TikTok bios, Yelp and Tripadvisor listings, and printed flyers.
- Tell regulars where to order now, with a social post and a card in pickup and delivery bags.

**Watch for:** check that your Google Business Profile shows the new links. If it still shows GloriaFood's, put your new link in week 6's pause message: Google's review can take up to 30 days.

### Week 6, March 15–21: stop taking orders on GloriaFood

- Check for scheduled orders placed for dates after your switch, and fulfill or cancel each one with the customer.
- Then pause all GloriaFood services, use the pause message to say where to order now ([GloriaFood pricing](https://www.gloriafood.com/pricing)), and remove every remaining link.

**Watch for:** St. Patrick's Day, Wednesday, March 17, is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland ([GOV.UK](https://www.gov.uk/bank-holidays)) and a public holiday in Ireland ([Citizens Information](https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employment/employment-rights-and-conditions/leave-and-holidays/public-holidays/)).

### Buffer, March 22–31: no system changes

- Cancel GloriaFood add-ons under their terms.
- Keep your GloriaFood login, and confirm you hold copies of the data you need.
- Make no changes over Easter: Good Friday is March 26 and Easter Monday is March 29. Oracle's end of service is Wednesday, March 31.

**Test the same way every week from week 3.** Place a test order from two phones, an iPhone and an older Android, on mobile data rather than your Wi-Fi. Watch it arrive on the kitchen screen, then move it through to Done.

**If you only take pickup and delivery,** skip the table steps. Use weeks 3 and 4 for test orders, including one to an address at the edge of your delivery zone.

## Frequently asked questions

**Is GloriaFood shutting down?**

Yes, and the two official dates differ: Oracle's food-and-beverage page says March 31, 2027, and GloriaFood's homepage notice says April 30, 2027. A switch finished by March 31 is safe under either date, so plan to be live on a new system by Sunday, March 21, 2027. We checked both pages on October 12, 2026.

**Does Oracle offer a replacement for GloriaFood?**

Not a direct one. GloriaFood's notice says Oracle doesn't offer a direct replacement and points customers to FoodAmigos for onboarding resources. FoodAmigos' GloriaFood page is written mainly for resellers and agencies, lists no prices for restaurants and offers a demo instead (checked October 12, 2026). If you look at it, ask for the monthly fee, any per-order charge and its data-export terms in writing before you commit.

**Can I still sign up for GloriaFood?**

Oracle's page says it no longer accepts sign-ups. GloriaFood's homepage still lists creating an account as the first step to get started, but its only account button is Log in, and we found no sign-up link when we checked on October 12, 2026. Any new GloriaFood setup would have to be replaced before March 31, 2027.

**Can I export my data from GloriaFood?**

Neither GloriaFood's end-of-life notice nor its FAQ page describes an export, so don't count on one until you've run it yourself (checked October 12, 2026). If your admin has no download, screenshots of your menu and delivery settings and your saved End of Day emails are your fallback. While GloriaFood still supports you, ask it in writing what you can export and what happens to your data after the end date.

**Can I import my GloriaFood menu into MenuBeacon?**

Not directly: MenuBeacon has no GloriaFood import or integration. On Pro, AI menu import turns a JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF of your menu (up to 10 MB) into a draft, and nothing is created until you review and confirm it; the AI can misread, and you add modifiers afterwards. Pro also has a separate CSV import, and on Free you add items in the editor.

**Is there a free alternative to GloriaFood?**

For dine-in QR ordering, yes: MenuBeacon Free costs $0 for one restaurant, doesn't expire and includes 20 table QR codes and 5,000 menu scans a month. For free pickup and delivery ordering it isn't a match, because those are on Pro (US, UK and EU editions) at $20 a month. Square's Free plan (US and UK) and DoorDash Online Ordering (US, for restaurants on DoorDash) charge no monthly fee; you pay processing on each card payment (checked October 12, 2026).
