Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of MenuBeacon. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are using MenuBeacon on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
Your account
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including staff members you invite or give PINs to. Notify us promptly at support@menubeacon.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Acceptable use
MenuBeacon is intended for restaurant menu publishing, QR ordering, and related hospitality workflows. You may not use the service for illegal content, abusive activity, deceptive links, malware, spam campaigns, or content that infringes intellectual-property rights or violates applicable law. QR codes must point to your own menus or legitimate business destinations. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.
Plans, subscriptions, and billing
MenuBeacon is billed monthly through Stripe. Free is $0/month and Pro is $20/month. Each plan has published limits on menus, items, QR codes, and monthly scans; if you exceed them we will ask you to upgrade rather than interrupt live menus without warning. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time through the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and downgrades never delete your data (features above the new plan's limits become read-only). Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Card payments and ordering
When a restaurant enables card payments, payments are processed by Stripe and the restaurant — not MenuBeacon — is the merchant of record for its food and drink sales. The restaurant is responsible for its prices, taxes, order fulfillment, refunds to diners, and compliance with local food-service regulations. Payment processor fees are set by Stripe and may apply.
Your content and data
Your restaurant owns its menu data, profile content, uploaded images, and customer order records. You grant MenuBeacon a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload, including photos, and for the accuracy of allergen and dietary information shown to diners.
Service availability
MenuBeacon is provided on a best-effort uptime basis, with current status published on our status page. We work to keep the service available, but interruptions may occur due to maintenance, hosting providers, networks, or third-party services. We will give advance notice of planned maintenance affecting live menus where practical.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On termination we will make your data available for export for 30 days on request, after which it is deleted.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. MenuBeacon does not warrant that menus, orders, or notifications will be delivered without error or interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, MenuBeacon is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will update the date above and notify account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the service, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MenuBeacon's operator has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property. Before filing a claim, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other party and allowing 30 days for a response.
