QR menus and restaurant ordering for UK venues

Keep menus, table orders, kitchen status, direct ordering, and eligible online payment in one browser-based flow configured for GBP and UK restaurant operations.

UK restaurant menus and orders use GBP. Online payments require Pro, a connected and onboarded restaurant Stripe account, and enabled payment settings.

GBP menu and order totals

Guest prices, bills, refunds, deposits, and restaurant reports use pounds.

Restaurant receipt details

Configured seller details and registration information carry into supported receipt flows.

Eligible Stripe methods

Cards and eligible wallets can appear after the restaurant completes its own onboarding.

A digital order still needs the right currency, time, and seller

A UK venue should not have to correct dollar defaults or ambiguous payment ownership. MenuBeacon creates the restaurant with GBP, Europe/London time, and UK market capabilities.

A connected flow with UK context built in

The restaurant controls the menu and remains the seller. Eligible online charges use its connected Stripe account, while VAT registration and tax choices remain with the restaurant and its advisers.

How it works

From UK account choice to a tested table journey

Market context is established before the menu, payment, and reporting workflows are configured.

  1. 1

    Choose United Kingdom

Start with the UK market selected so the restaurant is created with GBP and UK defaults.

  2. 2

    Add the venue and menu

Enter the restaurant details, menu, modifiers, table records, and service schedules.

  3. 3

    Test ordering and kitchen status

Run a table or staff-entered order through Received, Preparing, Ready, and Done.

  4. 4

    Connect optional Pro services

Complete Stripe onboarding before enabling online payment, deposits, gift cards, or related tax settings.

What the UK market sets

Keep operational display and settlement context consistent.

  • GBP for new restaurant commerce
  • Europe/London time for schedules and reporting
  • Stripe as the eligible online payment provider

What stays with the restaurant

Software does not replace legal or tax advice.

  • Restaurant is the seller to its guests
  • VAT registration and filing remain the restaurant’s responsibility
  • Online payment is unavailable until the connected account is ready

Use it where it removes a real handoff

  • Show and settle restaurant orders in GBP
  • Run table, takeaway, and kitchen status together
  • Add supported pay-at-table and reservation deposits on Pro

MenuBeacon United Kingdom questions

Does the UK version use pounds?

Yes. New UK restaurants use GBP for menu prices, orders, bills, and restaurant reporting.

Can guests use Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Eligible wallets may appear for a Pro restaurant after its own Stripe account is connected and onboarded. Availability also depends on the guest device, browser, domain, and wallet eligibility.

Does MenuBeacon make my restaurant VAT compliant?

MenuBeacon does not make that legal claim. The restaurant remains responsible for VAT registration, configuration, filing, and payment, with advice from its own advisers.

Are table ordering and the kitchen board only on Pro?

No. Current Free access includes table ordering and the browser-based kitchen dashboard. Pro adds eligible payments and other growth and team tools.
