MenuBeacon product

Turn a menu image or PDF into a draft to review

Upload a supported menu file and let MenuBeacon extract sections, item names, descriptions, prices, dietary tags, allergens, and calories into an editable draft.

AI menu import is a Pro owner feature. It accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, or PDF files up to 10 MB and always requires review before confirmation.

Common visual formats

Upload JPEG, PNG, WebP, or PDF source files up to 10 MB.

Structured extraction

Build a draft with sections, core item details, and supported food labels.

Review before create

Edit the proposed draft and explicitly confirm it before importing.

Re-entering an existing menu is slow, but blind automation is risky

MenuBeacon uses AI to prepare a starting draft, then puts the extracted items in front of the restaurant owner for correction and approval before anything is created.

A faster first draft with a human checkpoint

Extraction can reduce repetitive entry without pretending every photo, font, price, or dietary label will be interpreted perfectly.

How it works

AI does the first pass; you make the menu true

The confirmation step is part of the feature, not an afterthought.

  1. 1

    Choose a supported file

Upload a clear menu image or PDF no larger than 10 MB.

  2. 2

    Extract a draft

MenuBeacon identifies supported menu structure and item details.

  3. 3

    Review every section

Correct names, descriptions, prices, tags, allergens, and calories as needed.

  4. 4

    Confirm the import

Create the reviewed draft in the menu builder, then add modifiers, photos, and operational settings.

What AI import can extract

Extraction focuses on content visible in the uploaded menu.

  • Sections and item names
  • Optional descriptions and prices
  • Supported dietary tags, allergens, and calories

What remains with the restaurant

Operational choices and accuracy still require an owner.

  • Review and correct the draft
  • Add modifiers and operational settings
  • Confirm before creating menu records

Use it where it removes a real handoff

  • Move a printed menu into the editor
  • Create a starting draft from a supplier-designed PDF
  • Reduce repetitive typing before a menu relaunch
